Now I am stuck in my house and the game crashes every time I try to leave. Then I entered my house, again no problems. So I fast traveled to Megaton and that worked fine. Then the game would crash with a "Fallout 3 has encountered a problem and needs to close" message.Īfter some trouble shooting I figured that perhaps that Station, or indeed the whole Metro System, was the problem. Yet whenever I tried to enter the Metro Station the loading screen would hang a bit, then go to black (with just the loading symbol sticking around, still moving). I could still walk around outside and even enter the Grayditch houses.

Initially the problem started when I tried to enter the Marigold Metro Station in Grayditch during the Those! quest. I'm also tried thinning out my game saves. I've tried disabling/deactivating/uninstalling some of the more recent mods and it does nothing. I've had a couple issues with mods before, but I've been able to work them out on my own with some trouble shooting. Every time I try to load a new area, the game crashes. Well, it's been a few days, and now I've got a horrible problem. also i cleared the old directory i had from my steam version as well with all the save files i had for it thinking that was what was causing the crashes to no avail.I recently got Fallout 3 on Steam, and one of my friends sent me here, to get some awesome mods.

im running an intel core i5 vpro with 4 gb's of ram. i heard this game was supposed to work flawlessly from the get go on here but im having worse luck on here than i was on steam. so i tried using the update/repair tool from the GOG install screen and it told me i had a corrputed file. so i reintalled it and changed the directory from x86/progamfiles/GOG to its own folder directory, still crashes on the same screen.

only problem is when i go to start a new game it force closes on the loading screen. I just recently downloaded Fallout 3 GOTY for GOG for like 2 bucks, i had the vanilla version on steam and actually got that up and running for a while but i wanted the dlc's and i found out i could get it really cheap here so i deleted the steam version i bought years ago for the version on this site instead. Hello, please ignore my arrogance to the use of forum threads and computer savvy talk.
